Here's a quote from the paper:<br /><br />"Marlowe (1998) proposed that breast shape (particularly how it is influenced by firmness) may serve as an indicator of residual reproductive value. In other words, if the firmness of women's breasts is a reliable marker of their nubility and nulliparity, men should show a systematic and cross-cultural preference for it.
